If you'd like to buy a drawing of a particular species from me, but you don't see it in my shop, please ask if I have it.
I have dozens of drawings in my filing cabinet, most of them are part of various large commissions
(I usually draw species separately and combine them on my computer when designing the final artwork, together with the text, if required),
so there's always a chance I might have exactly what you need :)
Happy to share that the Kildare County Council Biodiversity Action Plan 2026-2031 was officially launched today at the Bog of Allen Nature Centre in Lullymore West, Rathangan, Co. Kildare.
It has been a real privilege to design and illustrate this important publication, which will help guide biodiversity…
Nature books have always occupied a special place between science, storytelling and visual art. They are not simply collections of facts about animals, plants or ecosystems. The best nature books become invitations to look closer, to slow down and to notice details that we might otherwise miss. What if the side of a local library or a coastal walkway could do more than just exist, acting instead as a living classroom for Ireland's unique ecosystems? It's a common frustration to see public areas filled with generic signage that lacks scientific accuracy or, sadly, falls victim to vandalism because it doesn't resonate with the local community. It's frustrating to order something that looks stunning on a screen only for it to arrive looking thin, pixelated, or "cheap" in person.
I understand that you want a gift that carries weight; a piece of art that tells a story about Irish biodiversity whilst…

You likely agree that a dense, text-heavy document often ends up gathering dust on a shelf, failing to inspire the "whole of society" action that our…

But I understand that every now and then, it's important to step outside that comfort zone and make those direct human-to-human connections.
Over the years, I've taken part in many group exhibitions by invitation, and I even organised a solo exhibition myself. Still, exhibiting has never…
